Beyond Shame by Kit Rocha

**This book is not intended for anyone under the age of 18**

Ok, where do I even start with this book? All I can say is, hot damn, this was one sexy book! If you like erotica with a hint of dystopia, then you definitely need to pick up a copy of Beyond Shame.

Beyond Shame is an erotic novel set in a post-apocalyptic world. Solar storms ravaged everything, and now society is trying to rebuild. The city of Eden is surrounded by a wall to keep out the riff-raff in the sectors. Eden is supposedly the place to be, where the righteous live, but there are lots and lots of restrictions.

When Noelle, daughter of a councilman, is caught doing things that are illegal in Eden, she is cast out into the world beyond. She’s terrified, as the sectors are filled with criminals and gangs.

Enter Jasper O’Kane, a member of the O’Kane gang, a cage fighter, and citizen of Sector Four. Jasper and Ace discover Noelle and decide to bring her back with them, handing her over to Lex, one of the feistiest women in Sector Four. Lex immediately has a soft spot for Noelle and refuses to let Dallas, her sometimes lover and head of Sector Four, to send Noelle away.

Dallas gives her a week to make herself useful. If Noelle can prove herself, she’ll get inked and become part of the “family”. So she sets out to do just that. She gets a job tending bar, and before a week is even up, she finds herself in Ace’s chair, earning her cuffs to become part of the O’Kane gang.

But there are people out there who are unhappy with Dallas, and with Noelle becoming part of his gang. And they will do anything to get rid of them both. Can Dallas keep his sector from being taken over? Can Jasper keep Noelle safe? You'll have to read it to find out.

I won’t say anything more on the plot, but please remember that this is erotica. There is BDSM/bondage/spanking, threesomes, foursomes, girl on girl, and a little bit of anal play too. If any of those things bother you, you probably shouldn’t read Beyond Shame.

Now as for the characters, I will admit that Noelle was a little…frustrating at times. But you can’t really blame her, because of the way she was raised. She is a bit naive, but she eventually finds herself and becomes a likeable character.

Jasper is a bit of a tease, but I really liked his character, even when he pulled a douchebag move. It was understandable, but still irked me.

Lex is extremely enjoyable to read about. I really liked her character. Dallas was a bit of an ass, but he had good reason to act that way. And the other supporting characters, like Ace, Bren, Amira, and Rachel, were nice additions to the overall plot and theme of the book.

So basically, if you can handle some seriously hot sex scenes(I’ll admit I had to stop reading a few times for…personal reasons), violence, drama, and some dystopia, then you will absolutely love Beyond Shame.
