Hi, everyone! My name is Jacob Z. Flores. I’m excited to be here today to promote my upcoming release Soul Struck, the third book of my Warlock Brothers of Havenbridge series that follows the lives of Mason, Thad, and Pierce, three magical brothers who find evil and conspiracy threatening the world they thought they knew. As they search for answers to the growing threats, they find something unexpected—love.

I can’t tell you how much fun it has been writing this series so far. In fact, I’ve been having so much fun, I’ve dedicated an entire website to the Warlock Brothers of Havenbridge. Some of you may have already known that. For those of you who didn’t, well, let me give you the 4-1-1.

What will you find?

Well, I have created unique content that provides readers (old and new) with supplemental information about the world of magic that I created for this series. There is a magical history and a timeline of my world that lets you know how magic came about and how it has influenced (or been threatened by) the human world from the very beginning. You’ll find information on the characters as well as the different types of magical beings that have been introduced so far in the books. There are fun quizzes to take, excerpts to read, and even a collection of mini-author readings from the past two books.

But what I’m here to tell you about today is the fabulous character art that can also be found on the website. When I started this series, the fabulous Charlie Cochet created character art for the major characters in the book, and she also helped me out again for book two. Well guess what? We are at book 3, and she has done it again!

She created character art for Kale Aquilo, who makes his first appearance in Soul Struck as well as the Conclave, who have been with us since the very beginning.

Here’s a little bit about these characters:

Kale is a shifter. He and his people live on a secluded magical island called Aeaea, where they are safe from magical and human threats. However, a strange virus is killing his people, so the Beast King sends the shy Kale to Human’s World to find the Conclave and get help before their magical race is decimated. However, Kale is forced to take a detour on his journey that leads him down a path he never expected.

The Conclave is the governing body of the magical community. It is comprised of the nine most powerful beings alive, and the membership consists of three warlocks, three wizards, and three witches. They are charged with creating and enforcing magical laws as well as safeguarding magic and all magical beings. However, the Conclave’s many secrets and hidden agendas have caused many in the community to distrust the motives of those they are bound to follow and obey.

About the Author 

Jacob Z. Flores lives a double life. During the day, he is a respected college English professor and mid-level administrator. At night and during his summer vacation, he loosens the tie and tosses aside the trendy sports coat to write man on man fiction, where the hardass assessor of freshmen level composition turns his attention to the firm posteriors and other rigid appendages of the characters in his fictional world.

 Summers in Provincetown, Massachusetts, provide Jacob with inspiration for his fiction. The abundance of barely clothed man flesh and daily debauchery stimulates his personal muse. When he isn’t stroking the keyboard, Jacob spends time with his daughter. They both represent a bright blue blip in an otherwise predominantly red swath in south Texas.
