By 2:00 PM , , , , , , , , , , , ,

This title is intended for an audience over 18 due to language and sexual situation.

Dr. Olivia Bell knows that meaningless sex won’t cure her heart ache, but that won’t stop her from trying. Fifteen years ago, she experienced a broken engagement and a broken heart. She thinks she has everything under control now, the career she always wanted, the extravagant muscle car, the perfect life.
Until he steps back into it, Alexander Astor, Prince Charming of Manhattan…
And makes her realize that everything she’d planned, everything she’d become, is not at all what she wants.
This is a sweet, second chance love story with a touch of heat, a lot of romance, and one super hot, love sick hero who can’t forget the love of his life. And he’s determined to make sure she remembers, too.

Heidi's Review
First, I want to thank Melissa Silvey for providing me with this book so I may bring you this review.

The Heart Doctor was the first book I read by Melissa Silvey and really enjoyed it. The storyline and characters were unlike any book I had read before. That is what had made it such an interesting read in itself for me.

The character in the book I had liked the least was Mrs. Astor for many reasons. Mostly because she came in between Lex and Olivia’s relationship that could have been something special. I found her to be cold hearted, manipulative, and didn’t care whom she hurt in the process.

Lex seemed like a good guy to me in many ways and would do anything to please Olivia. However, there was one incident where he let his anger and his jealousy get the better of him For this event I wanted to smack him so hard!!

Olivia is the one character that I absolutely loved! She didn’t seem to take gruff from anyone! She went for what she wanted weather it was with men or her career. She wouldn’t let anyone stand in her way of happiness. Except for one person.

I loved how this book switched from modern day to back in the day to tell both sides of the story.

Author Bio
Like one of her characters, Melissa doesn't reveal much about herself at first glance. She's shy and reserved, she's socially awkward, and she constantly says the wrong thing at the wrong time. But if you take the time to get to know her, you'll see she knows how to have fun! Give her a few drinks, and she'll have you laughing and dancing in no time. In her mind, she's the greatest dj ever, and she especially loves upbeat 80's music. She started writing short stories and poems in elementary school, basically as soon as she picked up a pencil. When she's not writing, and studying (the end IS near!) she enjoys watching football, hockey, and she really loves live music (live, not recorded), and she will sing off key constantly (as long as no one else is around). She's also a huge moviephile, preferring big budget action movies. Also, she has several television shows she MUST watch, and if you interfere with her shows she will get angry! Get to know Melissa Silvey, and her characters. You might just find an awesome new friend!Contact me at or on facebook at Thanks and I hope you enjoy my books. If you do don't hesitate to let me know! I appreciate any and all feedback!
