A. L. Goulden has a BFA in Film Production from the Academy of Art University in San Francisco. Her love of a good story came way before college, but when numerous instructors and peers praised her dialogue she realized her creative writing hobby was a skill worth honing. Her 18 year career in interior design, production design and art direction for film and television have spun a unique perspective on visually emotional tales of relationships and the thread that ties all things together.

FUN FACTS - A.L. Goulden
1. I love island reggae music, a branch of reggae based out
of Hawaii
2. I raise, shape, and love bonsai. I have seven that include
elms, junipers, a bougainvillea, and maples.
3. I am a hat fanatic. I have more than 30 hats
4. The first movie I remember vividly was Urban Cowboy at a
drive-in.
5. I create a secret Pinterest board for each of my books
with research, character photos, and locations that I use as visuals while I’m
writing.
6. I’ve made string art for years, some pieces as large at 7’
wide, from wood, nails and copper wire.
7. I can decorate a cake, hang a door, and sculpt from clay,
but I’m pretty sure I can’t change a tire, program the remote, or shoot a free
throw.
8. After high school I worked for a mobster in Las Vegas as a
graphic designer
9. I built two redwood decks at our house with multiple
levels, stairs, planters and a built-in bench.

handed my pack to a friend and said, “Enjoy.” Never smoked again.

my roller skating (suck at shoot the duck and limbo), skate boarding (can’t
stay on for more than an inch of pavement) and walking (run into corners and
door knobs daily)
