Sixth U.S. president John Quincy Adams, a man who knew a lot about effective leadership, maintained that the most successful people were those whose actions inspired others to dream more, learn more, do more, and become more. These people were the ones who left the sidelines, entered the fray, and threw themselves into life. They were the ones who forged a nation and achieved the impossible. They were the ones who truly connected to life, to others, and to themselves.
Today, the world needs human connection more than ever. It needs people who strive for deeper relationships, not just surface recognition, who come at life with the enthusiasm, energy, and excitement that bind people together. These people have a powerful impact on all around them.
Leadership guru Art Coombs combines fresh perspectives, profound experience, engaging information, and unforgettable stories into a simple formula that will result in rich connections as you live, laugh, learn, love, and lead those who mean the most to you. Begin today to live the authentic, abundant life you were meant to as you build and shape the connections that change everything.

Living a rich,
fulfilling life is about the process of personal improvement and rebirth. It is
about living up to your real capacity. It’s about being the best you can be.
The reality is that most people live boring, uninspired lives. Very few go to
work because they want to; instead, they go because they have to or think they
ought to. They wake to the complacency of their making. They endure each day,
hoping that someday their ship will come in. They buy lottery tickets, dreaming about winning and creating their happiness. All
the while they sit on the couch, tired and exhausted from the sheer boredom
they experience almost daily.
What’s happening to you?
Are your batteries running low? If they are, pay attention and do what you must
to reverse the situation. You don’t need to go dimmer and dimmer then
eventually dark like a neglected flashlight. If you recharge or replace those
batteries, you can shine brightly again. You can stay mentally active and alive
until you physically submit to the cycle of life.
Never stop learning. Never stop exploring and trying on new
perspectives of life. Regardless of your age, replace your batteries and learn
something new. The thirties, forties, and fifties can be marvelous years for
laughing and learning. Even those in their twilight years can renew and
revitalize by actively seeking to expand their understanding of life.
