My Review

Ultimate Sacrifice is one of those books that starts off with a bang and doesn't let up until the very end. It was a lot more intense than I thought it would be, and that's what made me absolutely love this book.

Vickie lives in small-town Tennessee with her family, and up until the beginning of the book, she apparently has a pretty normal life. But like I said before, the book starts off with a bang. Vickie's brother comes out of the woods, covered in blood. A gruesome discovery is made, and now, Vickie's life will never be the same.

Her family is thrown into the spotlight, and news crews and protestors camp out at the end of her driveway. Her small-town quiet life is now anything but, and if she wants it to go back to normal, she'll have to do whatever it takes to unravel the mystery behind the ultimate sacrifice.

This books is crazy good. It's intense, and it will take you on a ride. I finished it in three days, which is a pretty good record for me, considering I don't have as much time to read as I'd like these days. I was instantly hooked from the very beginning, and by the end, I was like, what just happened?!

Even though it's a very fast-paced story, the plot didn't feel rushed. I spent a bit of time trying to figure out the mystery behind what was going on and why. 

I also liked the characters, even though so many of them are hiding secrets. It was hard to tell who was good, who was bad, who I should root for, and who I should hate. It wasn't until the very end that it all sort of came together. During the story, there were characters I wasn't keen on, but by the end, the truth behind them came out, and...well, I won't spoil anything.

Overall, Ultimate Sacrifice is a really awesome read. Perfect for Halloween! If you enjoy horror that's on the tamer side, then you'll definitely want to check out Ultimate Sacrifice.
