My Review
**hopefully not spoiler-y, but proceed with caution**
Awakened is...different. It's the first book (re-released) in the Power Trilogy, and I found myself fascinated by the story.

We have Regnaryn (I liked calling her Reg or Reggie for short), who believes she's the last human in a world full of mythical beings. They've sort of adopted her and taken her in as one of their own. When she has a nightmare that causes her to start questioning things, that's when the story starts to pick up and become even more intriguing.

Graeden (I called him Gray while reading this) is another human who runs away from his home when his brother says some nasty things to him. Then he starts to hear a voice that guides him along, and soon, he's meeting up with Reggie.

Together, the pair must learn to work to defeat a villain hellbent on taking everything for himself.

Awakened is an imaginative, unique, magical fantasy story set in a fun little world filled with fantastical beasts.

I give the story 4.5 stars! Can't wait to read the next book!
Author Bio:
I was born and raised in New York, mostly on Long Island not “The City”. After high school, I moved to California and then did a three-year stint in the Navy before going to college and getting a Microbiology/Medical Technologist degree.

According to my Dad, I’ve been a storyteller from the time I began talking (which was at a very young age). But, it wasn’t until a few years ago that I decided to take my passion for writing and my love for all things magical or mythical seriously and set out to write fantasy novels.
When I’m not at my day job or writing, I enjoy creating and wearing costumes (cosplay), playing video games (though, I’m not very good at it) and watching NHL hockey and assorted other things many of which are merely time wasters. Of course, hanging out with my friends and my cats also pleasantly fills my time.
