The Last Thing She Said

"Beware of a man named Frederick and his offer of marriage."
Rose’s granddaughters, Rebecca, Leia and Naomi, have never taken her prophecies seriously. But now that Rose is dead, and Naomi has a new man in her life, should they take heed of this mysterious warning?
Naomi needs to master the art of performing. Rebecca rarely ventures out of her house. She's afraid of what she might see. As for Rebecca’s twin, everyone admires Leia’s giant brain, but now the genius is on the verge of a breakdown.
Rebecca suspects Naomi’s new boyfriend is hiding something. She begs Leia, now living in the US, to investigate.
Leia’s search takes her to a remote farm in Ohio on the trail of the truth behind a tragic death.
Just who is Ethan? And what isn’t he telling Naomi?
In a story full of drama and mystery, the sisters discover there is more that connects them than they realise, and that only together can they discover exactly what’s behind Rose’s prophecy.

I like reading romances. They follow a familiar, and comfortable, pattern: a couple meet, and over some time they grow to love one another, face off challenges, and by the end of the book, they’re ready to spend the rest of their lives together.

The three sisters in my new book are at different stages of life when it comes to love and companionship. Leia hasn’t settled on anyone, and can’t imagine she ever will given her wild ways. Rebecca is married, happily it seems, but she worries about the future and whether her reclusive nature will drive her husband away. Then there is Naomi, the youngest, who having been cast aside by her long term boyfriend, has met somebody who quickly fills his shoes. Too quickly perhaps, given her late grandmother’s prophetic warning about marriage.
Ethan is a mystery. He’s American, speaks with an Australian accent and has started a new life in England. He’s keen for a relationship and happy to accommodate Naomi when she has to move out of her house. Naomi wants a spark of excitement in her life, especially as her ambition to be a solo performer is floundering, and she rushes into his arms. Troubled by the haste, and Ethan’s sudden arrival in Naomi’s life, Rebecca is forced out of her shell and coaxes Leia to show some interest in her sister’s choice of lover. All three of them are in for a surprise when they discover Ethan’s past life has a dark secret.
Will the three sisters find, or keep hold of, love and companionship? Perhaps the most important lesson is that the sisters themselves thrive on supporting and loving each other, and family ties are at their strongest when faced with a dilemma.

  1. Thank you so much for sharing and hosting my book and post.

Please try not to spam posts with the same comments over and over again. Authors like seeing thoughtful comments about their books, not the same old, "I like the cover" or "sounds good" comments. While that is nice, putting some real thought and effort in is appreciated. Thank you.
