My Review
The Haunting at Paradise House is a paranormal story with a bit of a twist. The main focus is on Addison, a young woman who is hired to care for an elderly gentleman in his mansion in the Florida Keys. Unfortunately for Addison, the house is a lot spookier than she expected it to be.
Creepy dolls. Strange kids. Rooms that are off-limits. And Dax, an odd man who also happens to be the one who hired Addison.
I have to say, this book wasn't quite what I was expecting. It's strange and goes in a different direction from what I thought it would. There's a lot of secrets residing in Paradise House, and when they all come to light, it's a bit surprising.
I did think the book felt a little rushed. At least to me. I didn't really connect with any of the characters, and while the overall plot was good, there was something lacking for me. There were some creepy scenes, which I enjoyed, and I did like Ambrose, but I wasn't as thrilled as I thought I would be by The Haunting at Paradise House.
I'm rating it 3.5 stars.
