The Light of Love pours down on Frilly. It shines so brightly that she quails and runs away. Upset with herself for feeling scared, she wakes her good friend Mawson and pours out her confusions. She wants to learn how to be bold and is convinced that she can do this by going on a quest. With muddled help from Mawson she sets off into the great Out There. But is a quest to find oneself really the answer?

My Review

She Ran Away From Love is a unique little story complete with actual photographs of Frilly and Mawson, teddy bears who "tell" the story (I suppose). This book follow Frilly on her journey to discover who she really is. She gets encouragement and advice from Mawson along the way.

At first I was a little confused by the story, but then I realized it's meant more for adults, although children will enjoy it as well. It's a story about self-awareness, learning to love yourself, and being true to your own self. Confidence and courage lurk inside every person (and bear!), and all you have to do is a little soul-searching to find it and embrace it. A good message for all ages.
