GUEST POST
What inspired you to write an epic fantasy, and what is your favorite/least favorite thing about the genre?
I think subconsciously I was first inspired to write an epic fantasy novel when I read the Hobbit and the Lord of the Rings when I was twelve years old. But it was reading author Terry Goodlind and his Sword of Truth series when I was fourteen that made me want to become an author myself.
My favorite thing about the fantasy genre is the sense of excitement and adventure of quests! I love how all it takes is a character finding a magical weapon or artifact to change Everything!!
I would have to admit, my least favorite thing about the fantasy genre is the occasional instances of lacking originality and surrendering to the cliche, just to please the editors of large fat cat publishing houses.
C.W. HOLCOMB
About the Author
C.W. Holcomb's works are based on Ancient Myths and folklore. His first
series is heavily based on Scottish Folklore of werebeasts that prowl the
primordial forests in the distant past! The first novel of his newest
series, Chaos: Worlds Beyond is inspired heavily by Greek Mythology; as well
as works by well known authors such as C.S. Lewis, J.R.R Tolkien and Raymond
E. Feist. The works are filled with passion and adventure on an epic scale
where the lure of magical treasures incites the characters into traveling to
strange and dangerous magical Worlds filled with Nightmarish monsters and
sentient arcane artifacts!

Very interesting cover. I like the fantasy genre. Thanks for the chance.
ReplyDeletePlease try not to spam posts with the same comments over and over again. Authors like seeing thoughtful comments about their books, not the same old, "I like the cover" or "sounds good" comments. While that is nice, putting some real thought and effort in is appreciated. Thank you.
