Sapphira Dawn was told she was the new Goddess Incarnate, the most powerful
being on Earth.
At nineteen, she didn’t feel powerful – she felt betrayed and angry.
Suddenly thrust into a world that she knows nothing about, a world where
magic and monsters actually exist, Sapphira races to learn all she can about
her magic.
And to find her place in this dangerous new world.
Some of the monsters want to use her, the others just want her dead.
But can she gain the knowledge needed to stop an impending war before it
spills into the human realm she once called home.
"Sapphira has got to be one the best MC's I have come across of
late!... I cannot wait to see where the rest of this story heads!"
- Jade Francis, Author of Siren Calls

Top 5 favorite scenes and why.
1. The scene where Sapphira’s magic first appears – because
it was the start of something big, the beginning of the end so to speak. It was
fun to write, and explore the consequences of Saph’s actions after this point.
I got to see the varying reactions from those around her, and how the
appearance of her magic changed the group dynamics and goals they had set.
2. The scene where Sapphira is introduced to the Other –
Again, this was a tipping point moment, where things started falling into place
for Saph, it opens her eyes to some hard truths, and makes her choose between
right and wrong – even if she doesn’t like it. It’s also the moment when old
bonds are irrevocably stretched to breaking point.
3. The scene when Sapphira first leaves the Fae Queen’s
domain – This one was so fun to write because it showed how strong, how cold
she could be. It shows the danger of giving yourself over to the darkness
inside you, of how easy it is to let go when you should keep fighting it. This
scene builds Saph’s character in a way that none before it had. Whether that’s
good or bad, we will have to see!
4. Any scene with Hunter (I love him) – I mean, who wouldn’t
want a fallen angel as a friend? Hunter has this side of him that pulls Saph
out of her darkness, a sass and banter that she can’t resist. But he also has
this soft side that draws her in, that helps her through the tough times. He
sees the real Saph before anyone else.
5. Sapphira and Valdis in the kitchen – I liked this scene
because it gave depth to a character that previously had been mischievous and
badass. It shows that even those that hide in the dark have light within them.
Saph was able to open up – as was Valdis – about the past, about the fears and
concerns for what was to come. It gave Sapphira an ally when she felt she had
none. #Girlpower

ReplyDeleteAlso, good luck to all who enters the giveaway!
You're very welcome! :)
DeleteNice cover. Love the red dress. Thanks for the chance. It sounds good.
ReplyDeletePlease try not to spam posts with the same comments over and over again. Authors like seeing thoughtful comments about their books, not the same old, "I like the cover" or "sounds good" comments. While that is nice, putting some real thought and effort in is appreciated. Thank you.
