My Review As a beginner to the world of cross stitch, I was super excited to check out The Little Book of Cross Stitch. I was curious to see what sorts of patterns would be featured within the pages, and what sort of tips or tricks I might find. While there are loads of fun designs that I'm looking forward to trying, I do wish there had been more visuals for getting started. There are some tips about fabric, hoops, thread, etc, but as a beginner, I still struggle a little to figure out proper threading techniques and stitching. My sister has been helping me via video chats, which is nice, but I do wish the book had had a little more to help guide someone who is just starting out. I'm sure once I get the hang of it, I'll be trying out all the designs in the book to hang around or gift to friends. It's definitely a cute guide that I will be utilizing as I learn this new hobby. 4 stars!

Author Information

The Geeky Stitching Co are all about fun, puns & stitching up cute stuff! Operating from a rainbow coloured HQ in North Devon since 2015, they have seen ten’s of thousands of Cross Stitch kits head out to new homes across the globe.

The ‘Geeky Stitching Club’ started in 2015, which is the original cross stitch subscription club, as to be honest most of the cross stitch patterns that were currently available were a bit boring and pretty complex, so we wanted to bring a bit of fun and cuteness to the stitching world! Each month members receive a different cross stitch box full of patterns/kits and mini supplies pack, the themes varies from doughnuts, to root vegetables to Christmas, but are always fun and super cute.

You may have seen some of their patterns and kits featured in a range of Cross Stitching Mags across the world as well as the craft Magazine ‘Mollie Makes’. In 2016 they won a competition with them for ‘Best new Subscription Idea’ in association with CrateJoy and this year they were also shortlisted for a Local Business award.

All their kits and patterns are designed, packed up and shipped from North Devon and they are pretty sure that there is something for everyone, whether you’re a stitcher yourself, buying a gift, or wishing to become a stockist (unless you want to stitch up a vase of flowers or country cottage as that’s not really their style!)
