My Review
Abracadabra Whoopsie is a silly children's book that I think readers of all ages can relate to. It's a story of an older brother being annoyed by his younger sister and wishing she would just go away. So when he gets a magic wand that lets him poof her away whenever he wants, he takes full advantage. But one day his sister doesn't return. What will Jordy do now?
This is a quick, easy read that teaches kids that even though they may find their siblings frustrating or annoying sometimes, not having them around to be annoying is even worse. It's quiet and lonely instead.
I'd definitely recommend this story to both young readers and adults who are young at heart.
5 stars.
Meet the Author:
Adam Kargman lives in Los Angeles, California with his wife and their two
children. He was inspired to write Abracadabra Whoopsie after witnessing the
sibling rivalry between his kids, which led him to wonder what would really
happen if one sibling's dream to make the other one vanish came true.
