My Review
Mickey on the Move is a wonderful children's book about a little boy named Mickey who enjoys being on the move. He also happens to be deaf.
As someone who grew up with a deaf twin sister, I really connected with this book. It's a lovely little story that young readers will enjoy, and it's a good way for parents to talk to their kids about being mindful and understanding if they see someone with a hearing aid or cochlear implant. It's also a good way to bring up ASL to kids who may want to learn to "talk" to their deaf friends/classmates/family members.
It's an easy to read story, and the illustrations in the book are bright and colorful; I think they will make young readers enjoy the story even more.
I would recommend this book to all parents.
5 stars!
