My Review
The Tiger Like Me is a lovely children's book about diversity and embracing differences. It also shows kids that facing their fears and being brave can be a good thing. With beautiful illustrations that bring the story to life, young readers will enjoy immersing themselves in Abhi's journey through the jungle. Along the way, she meets many animals, including a tiger who is different just like her. She may be a princess, but she prefers to march to the beat of her own drum. And that's okay (even if her sisters and mother don't approve). The only thing I found a little strange was the rhyming scheme. While it's easy to read and follow along with, at times it seems a little off. I don't think young readers will mind, though. A wonderful story with a wonderful message. 4 stars!
