My Review
Rambee Boo's Lake Vacation is a cute children's book about a little dog who goes on vacation with his family. He brings along his favorite Sock, but ends up dropping it many times throughout the vacation. Does Sock make it home with Rambee Boo, or will it be lost forever?
I really liked this book. It was a quick, easy read, and young readers will enjoy the repetition of the story, with different adventures for Rambee Boo and crew each day, and fun illustrations that bring those adventures to life.
Highly recommend!

Author Interview

1.How long have you been writing?

I started writing in the Spring of 2020 after we added a new puppy to our family. I’ve always loved children’s books and have been collecting them since college. After we adopted Rambee Boo, I saw a sweet relationship form between my youngest son Rocky and Rambee Boo. As I searched for realistic fiction picture books to read to Rocky about other children and their pets, I realized there weren’t many books to choose from. So I decided to write my own.

2. What advice would you give budding writers?

My advice to budding authors would be to take your time and enjoy the process. Writing can be both enjoyable yet frustrating at times. Make sure you believe in your work, write from your heart and only publish the very best that you can produce. If it’s not working, it’s ok to take a step back and look at your work with fresh eyes another day. You can’t force the flow of writing, just like you can’t force creativity, and some days you may just feel more creative than others.

3. What genre do you write in and why?

I write in a genre called realistic fiction. There aren’t too many picture books written in realistic fiction that depicts realistic and relatable characters. Most characters you find these days are super-hero’s or have some kind of superpower. The Rambee Boo Series characters are more realistic, making them easier for our readers to relate to.

4. Favorite Travel spot:

I love to vacation anywhere that’s warm and has a beach. The Cayman Islands would definitely be one of my favorite spots. I also love Disney! Anyone who knows me, can tell you that’s one place I never get tired of. It truly is the most magical place on earth.

5. What is your next project?

I have a lot more Rambee Boo stories in the works. There are 2 more releases set for this year. I’m also working on a coloring book which will be released later this year. Next year, I’m planning on releasing at least 2 more books, and 2-3 books each year following that. Another project I’m currently working on is manufacturing Sock, so children can have their very own comfort sock like Rambee Boo has. Comfort Sock will first be offered to companies who wish to donate it to children’s hospitals, play therapy programs and child life programs. I can only hope that Sock will bring comfort to children the way it does to Rambee Boo!

Meet the Author:

I began writing THE RAMBEE BOO SERIES after we added a fur baby to our family, during the Covid-19 pandemic quarantine. The characters in the series are based off my youngest son Rocky (aka Rock), and our rambunctious puppy Rambo (aka Rambee Boo). Whenever there's trouble, these two are usually at the center of it! I graduated from West Windsor-Plainsboro High school in 2000 and went on to get my B.A. from Rutgers University, New Brunswick. I currently live in New Jersey with my husband, my three children and of course…my Rambee Boo! I've always had a great love for children's books and started collecting them in college. I am thrilled to have the opportunity to write my own series to add to our collection. I hope these books will continue to grow and foster children's love for reading. I can only hope that my readers enjoy reading my books as much as I enjoy writing them!
