Detective Connor O’Reilly, a native of New Orleans, comes from a family of police. He’s an honest cop but realizes there is corruption in the division. His father may have died as part of that corruption. He meets Julie Ann, checks out her mother’s death and finds it was badly handled. Julie Ann deserves the truth and he wants to find it for her.

Julie Ann and Connor work together to unravel the real reason behind Perrine Dupré’s murder, Julie Ann’s mysterious past, and why people want her dead, while developing their challenging relationship. Can they both survive? And can their relationship survive?

I was born and grew up in Calgary, Alberta, Canada. It was a small town back then. That was where I started writing. I used to write short stories, plot mysteries, and write those locked room mysteries. I moved to BC and lived in Vancouver for awhile. I was living in the Okanagan when I decided to write a full book. I thought I’d try a romance because it sounded like it might be easier (Wrong!) It turned into a romantic suspense.  I finished the book and it’s still hidden under the bed. About that time, I was told there was a writers’ conference in Calgary, The Road to Romance. I traveled back to Calgary to attend that conference where I met editors and other writers and learned about RWA and the Kiss of Death Chapter. Since then. I’ve attended multiple conferences in different cities.

I also get to research the different cities when I attend the conferences. I was asked to share something really interesting that’s happened to me. There’s been a couple of things, like staying in a tree house in the Amazon, but there when I was also a time in New Orleans when my husband and I were held up at gunpoint in a local hotel off Bourbon Street. The gun was aimed at my husband, so, I took a chance and ran up the stairs to the second floor screaming. The manager came out and called the police. The man ran away. We weren’t hurt, but the police gave me a lecture about how dangerous it had been. They did catch the man that night.

Born in Calgary, Alberta, Canada home of the World-Famous Calgary Stampede, I've moved from the Okanagan Valley of British Columbia, closer to where I was born. I now live just south of Calgary in Medicine Hat, Alberta Lost the orchards and fruit but we have spectacular veggies here. I continue to write romantic suspense and medical thrillers in my new home. My background in nursing helps with the medical thrillers. I've written most of my life. I used to do those locked room plots many years ago. Now I spend my time plotting perfect murders and then helping my antagonist solve them. I strongly believe that good triumphs over evil and love conquers all. Please check out my books and if you'd like to leave a review - I thank you.

    1. Molli, I apologize for the delay in response. I was late getting the tour schedule. My background is nursing. I worked in various nursing areas, in the labor and delivery, as a public health, home nurse and in charge of a licensing and nursing provincial program. I have thought I'd like to be a forest ranger or maybe a vet.

Please try not to spam posts with the same comments over and over again. Authors like seeing thoughtful comments about their books, not the same old, "I like the cover" or "sounds good" comments. While that is nice, putting some real thought and effort in is appreciated. Thank you.
