I finish writing the last entry in my diary and place it in the cabinet next to
my bed. Matthew never looks in my side of the cabinet, he’s far too scared
he'll find some feminine products or my diaphragm which will make him feel
queasy and go weak at the knees. You’d think after nearly twenty years of being
married to me he would be used to “my stuff”, as he calls it. My name's Annie
by the way though all my friends call me Anne, well, the friends I did have.
Before the birth of my child, I was a high-flying financial manager working for
Core Power one of the fastest growing firms In London. I was often out,
entertaining corporate buyers at trendy restaurants in Mayfair or hitting the
town with my girls and throwing on the highest pair of stilettos. But all good
things must come to an end and I’ve now traded in my Louboutins for flat
loafers or “mummy shoes" as I like to call them,Meet Annie, a tired,
