Bobos Babes
My Review
A Magical Halloween is a fun children's book set during Halloween. The Bobos Babes--Scarlett, Cora, and Daphne--are getting ready to dress up and have some fun. They go to Ladybug's Boutique and discover there are three special masks waiting just for them. They're told not to put the masks on until after noon on Halloween, but when they do, that's when the magic happens.
This is a delightful story with wonderful illustrations. Young readers will enjoy following the three girls as they learn just how magical their new masks really are. It's the perfect story for this time of year.
5 stars!

The Fun in Connecting the Books in a Series
One of the most fun parts of writing The Bobos Babes Adventures is creating connections between the stories.
Thus far, I have written about fifteen stories. A Magical Halloween is
the fifth published book of the
series. Although they do not need to
be read in sequential order, if you do read them all, you may find yourself giggling at some of the
connections. I LOVE when someone
messages me that they found one of the
connections.
One of the main reasons that Leonard the Lion and Barbara the
Butterfly do not end up together in the book
The Lion’s Secret is to keep the cute
story alive of his secret crush. In
an upcoming story, Lost without the Ladies, one by one, the
men realize that their ladies are missing. Leonard
the Lion keeps telling everyone
to relax, but once Leonard finds out that
Barbara is missing, he faints.
Spoiler Alert:
The ladies are fine. None
of the men heard where they were going because they were so focused on the big game.
In the first released Bobos
Babes Adventure: The Case of the Giggles, Mr. Wiggles had previously had
the case of the giggles himself,
but he just cannot remember how he got rid of them. In Lost without the Ladies, his wife told him where all of
the ladies would be. When the men
come to him for help, he cannot remember
what she said.
In the Missing Egg, Russell leaves the nest to eat chocolate
cake with his close guy friends and an egg goes
missing. In Love is in the Air, the upcoming Valentine story, he is one of the
creatures watching through the window
as Angel Scarlett bakes cookies for the town of Harmony. He is also dining with his wife
for Valentine’s Day and is eating dessert. In
Lost without the Ladies, he is very
concerned that Tom the Tiger didn’t
bring the cake to watch
the game.
In the intro of most of the stories, you will see Princess
Daphne providing comfort to a squirrel. In
The Missing
Egg, she is having the squirrel shake hands with a fox as if they weren’t
getting along. In The Elegant Emu,
Princess Daphne is providing comfort
to the squirrel after he is pricked by a porcupine.
There are a few more connections among the stories, and I’ll
probably add more in as I write. I
look forward to hearing from the next reader
that finds a connection!
