A Heartfelt Christmas Promise is a sweet holiday read that will make readers feel all warm and cozy inside.
Vanessa, the main character, is eagerly awaiting her assignment for the Christmas holiday from her company. She's banking on being sent to Paris, France, but there's a possibility she could also end up in Washington state. Instead, she's sent off to a small town in North Carolina called Fraser Hills. Fraser Hills is known for having the Best Fruitcake in all of the US. Vanessa's company has purchased the fruitcake factory, and she must assess turning it into a warehouse. Of course, because the factory means a lot to the people of the town, and because it's been a staple there for generations, everyone is upset with Vanessa. She doesn't let her less-than-warm welcome stop her from slowly falling in love with the quaintness of the town. And the man whose family owns the fruitcake factory.
This is a delightful, feel-good read that has well-written characters, beautiful imagery, and a wonderful overall plot. It's lighthearted and easy to read while also eliciting a myriad of emotions.
Perfect read for the holiday season.
