MY REVIEW
Disclosure: Many thanks to K-LOVE Films for providing a sample of the product for this review. Opinions are 100% my own.
Family Camp is a laugh-out-loud family-friendly faith-based comedy that will appeal to all ages. It's heartwarming, inspiring, emotional, and yes, very funny. The movie starts with Grace and her kids at church. Her obsessed-with-work husband, Tommy, enters late, which annoys Grace. But when the pastor mentions Family Camp, a week-long event, Grace knows it's the perfect thing to get her family back together and back on track. Of course, Tommy and the kids aren't exactly thrilled, but they go along with it. There's only one problem: Tommy forgot to make the final payment and now there are no cabins. But wait! There is one alternative: sharing a yurt with another Family Camp family. Unfortunately for Grace and Tommy, the family they must share their yurt with is the same family who passed them on a double line while traveling to the camp, thus annoying Tommy even more. Plus, it seems like Eddie and his family are a bit too into this whole camp thing. Can the two families learn to get along and make things work? Or will their time at camp be ruined by a lack of faith?
I really, really enjoyed this movie. I went into it a little unsure, and a little hesitant about what it would be like. But I was pleasantly surprised by how much I liked it. I was immediately drawn in to the film, curious to see how it would play out. Within the first 15 minutes, I was already laughing and having a good time watching it. And as the movie progresses, things get sillier, especially with the competition and the appearance of two Bigfoot hunters. But at its core, Family Camp has a wonderful, heartwarming message of trust, faith, hope, and love. Sometimes it's a good reminder to put down the phones, take some time away from work, and just connect as a family again. Our world is constantly in a state of "go-go-go", always needing something more, but it's always good to hit the brakes and say, "Wait a moment. Do I really need to be constantly moving? Constantly attached to technology Constantly working?" It's definitely a good reminder to slow down every once in a while and reset your life. I will admit that, near the end, I also got a little bit teary-eyed. There was a scene that really hit me right in the feels, if you will, and I teared up. It's emotional, but it also hits home and makes you realize what's important. Family Camp is more than just a comedy; it's a lovely film that reminds us all to never take our family for granted. Learn to reconnect. Learn to trust one another, have faith in one
another, and love one another. And above all, remember: the family that laughs together has the most fun together. 💜 Giveaway Enter to win a $10 Amazon gift card! a Rafflecopter giveaway
