My Review
**Disclosure**
Many thanks to Pure Flix/Sony Affirm/Momentum Influencer Network for providing a sample of the product for this review. Opinions are 100% my own.

Live+Local is a new sitcom streaming on Pure Flix. It's a show that follows Tommy and Tina (aka TnT) as they host their morning show from 5am to 10am, along with their new producer named Lucy (aka Producey Lucy). But with a new program director, Jerry, things are about to change.
I did watch episode 1 first before moving on to episode 2, which is what my review is for. Episode 1 introduces us to Tommy, Tina, Lucy, and Jerry. Tommy and Tina have a good camaraderie going on, with fun (and sometimes snarky) banter that makes them easily likeable right off the bat. Lucy is a bit anxious and nervous, and her first time on-air doesn't exactly go as planned. That makes her relatable, because I think we've all had stage fright at one point in our lives. And Jerry... well, Jerry is a bit...much. He gives me secondhand embarrassment, but maybe that's just me.
In episode 2, Jerry decides to change things up for Tommy and Tina. He agrees to let Tina host a new segment while on air, which makes Tommy jealous (and maybe a little annoyed, too). Tina is nervous and worried listeners won't like her segment, but she goes through with it, and immediately, social media is bursting with praise for her. She's even receiving phone calls at the station from listeners who want to share their own stories. Her new segment is a hit!
Tommy, however, still seems to be stuck in his old ways, including making Lucy fetch him coffee even though she's no longer an intern. Will he come around to trying new things and doing things differently? Perhaps. But only time will tell.
Both episodes also feature guest stars. Episode 2 features John Cooper from the band Skillet. I think this is a nice touch for the show, having actual comedians/singers/authors as guest stars of a fictional radio show. It's fun and makes things more interesting to watch.
I'll admit, I'm not a big sitcom fan. I prefer dramas (especially if they evoke some serious emotions). But I was curious to see if this show could capture my interest and change my mind about how I view sitcoms. And I have to say, I was rather pleasantly surprised that Live+Local didn't feel like the type of sitcom I expected. It has humor, but it's not ridiculous or over the top like some shows. It's a tame, toned-down sort of humor, and I found myself chuckling along with the characters. It's also inspirational, with good messages and heart, and by the end of each episode, you'll find yourself feeling lighter. At least I did.
I think my favorite thing about Live+Local is the connection between Tommy and Tina. Dave Coulier and Emily Pendergast bring both of those characters to life and make them feel like two DJs you'd hear on the radio while getting ready for work in the morning. They're delightful.
I think this one is another hit for Pure Flix, and I will be watching more episodes as they come out. So happy to have new shows to watch and get invested in that make me smile and feel good.
