Book Description:
As strange monsters terrorize the land of Cornovii, the life of an exiled
mage is thrown into turmoil when a half-dead warrior is brought to her
door.
Tapping into the depths of her magic, Lady Inanuan of Thorn inextricably
links her life force to Marcach, Captain of the King's Guards, pulling him
away from the jaws of death. However, the witch soon learns that you can't
escape your fate in the Black Forest-even if you're friends with the Forest
God himself.
Summoned to appear before the Magical Council to answer for her past, things
are further complicated on the journey when Ina must use the forbidden spell
once again to heal the captain's best friend, Ren. However, for the
harbinger of Chaos, no good deed goes unpunished when the connection her
magic forges with both men awakens not only dark desires, but also an
ancient bloodline that creates an intense rivalry between the two
warriors.
As Ina struggles to fight her passion for Marcach and Ren, she must follow
the clues to uncover the truth behind the plague of monsters roaming the
land. But will the witch who doesn't believe in love be able to deny her
feelings as she attempts to clear her name, or will the kingdom fall before
she can solve the mystery?
Hi,
I’m Ina, or as some uptight people call me, Lady Inanuan Zoria Thornsen from
the ducal House of Thorn. I was born from a morganatic marriage, but my parents
never regretted their choices. Here I am, the unfortunate result of my mother’s
tryst and the shame on my family’s otherwise stellar reputation. I am also a
chaos mage. I know all scholars say everything is born of chaos and that it is
the primary source of all magic, but they also claim that tapping into that
source can make you mad at best, dangerous and genocidal at worse.
Yet
I am none of those, well, a little too short tempered for my own good, with a
knack for getting myself in trouble and a smidgen of luck to get out of it, but
what can you expect with such unusual magic?
I
know what the gossips say, and no, I didn’t plan to create a monster at
university. It was just a little accident while working on the formula, all
because of Velka’s clumsiness and weak bladder. Have I told you about Velka?
She is a piece of work and the best person I have ever met. She is also my best
friend, and I would do anything to keep her safe, happy and carefree because
this world needs such beautiful souls like my Velka. That is why we
keep calling her Flower.-
My relationship with men? Well… it’s complicated, to say
at least. Not that I don’t like them, I probably like them too much in some
ways, but I don’t have the time for romantic nonsense. Every now and again,
someone greedy for my family’s wealth and position will “Try” to overlook my
flaws and ask to marry me. Hence I always make sure they know where we stand,
and most of my relationships don’t last past the fading of physical appeal.
I know I’m not everyone’s cup of tea, with a viper’s
tongue and a reluctance to compromise, and yes, I know they call me Striga, but
don’t judge me just yet and read my story to see the real me, the one that
hides deep in a well-armoured heart.
Meet the Authors:
Olena Nikitin is our pen name. We are an enthusiastic couple of writers
who are fascinated by the fantasy/paranormal romance genre. We love humour
and a down-to-earth approach to life and all of this hit a bit of steam
and spice you can find in our books Hidden behind the pen name:
Olga – is Polish, armed with a wicked sense of humour and typical Slavic
pessimism she is the wicked witch from the East. She has written stories
since childhood, initially mostly about her work. As an emergency
physician, she always has a story to tell and often not much time to
write. She is also known as The Crazy Cat Lady.
Mark is a typical English gentleman whose charm, refined taste and
undeniable sex appeal tempted Olga to fly across the sea. Don’t tease him
too much; this man has an impressive sword collection and he knows how to
use it. He also can fix everything, including Polish syntax in English
writing. He got shot in the Gulf War, and if you give him good whiskey, he
will tell you this story.
Thank you for sharing your guest post, bio and book details, the cover is gorgeous and the synopsis has intrigued me, Autumn Chaos is a must read for me.
Please try not to spam posts with the same comments over and over again. Authors like seeing thoughtful comments about their books, not the same old, "I like the cover" or "sounds good" comments. While that is nice, putting some real thought and effort in is appreciated. Thank you.
