WELCOME TO THE GRAND BUG HOTEL!

We are a happy, eco-friendly lodge and cater to all bugs.

Flicker and her friends are playing hide and seek in the Grand Bug Hotel, and Flicker’s younger siblings—twins Zip and Flare—want to join in on the fun. The game uses skills that the baby bugs aren’t used to, including silence and patience, so Flicker creates a new game that everyone can play instead.

My Review Flicker Plays Hide-and-Surprise is a cute, fun children's story with lovely illustrations and a delightful song that kids will want to sing over and over again. Flicker and her friends are playing hide-and-seek. But Flicker must also allow her younger twin siblings to play, even though they don't know how. At first, Flicker is annoyed, but when the twins create a new version of the game, everyone wants to play. This is an adorable story about being kind and patient. Flicker is unhappy that her siblings don't understand the rules of the game, but with some patience and some kindness, they learn a little more about how to play while also putting their own spin on things to make it more fun. Young readers will enjoy the story while wanting to sing the hide-and-seek song while playing their own game. The illustrations on each page really make the story pop, and I think young readers will love seeing Flicker and her friends come to life because of them. 5 stars!
